The Firm was organized in 1983 by Robert L. Underwood, whose previous experience and practice in the taxation field commenced in 1972.

Jeffery Roberts became a Partner in the Firm in 2000. Heather Underwood Ashe came to the firm in 1999 and became a partner in the Firm in 2010.

Client services in tax, business transactions, and related legal matters are provided through one Firm. The Firm's extensive automotive practice represents automobile dealers with all aspects of their business.

The Firm is joined by Shannon Evans, as Of Counsel, whose practice focuses on taxation and David S. Cohen, as Of Counsel, whose practice focuses primarily on general business law.
